One song, two languages: Hebrew and English, so every word can be understood and sung along.
The first part of Psalm 85 ended with a request: show us your mercy, O LORD. The second part opens in silence. The singer says, I will hear, and the word he hears is peace.
Then the world is mended: mercy and truth meet, righteousness and peace embrace, and the LORD gives the good while the land gives her harvest.
The verses that give the song its name and its chorus:
"Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven"
"Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase"
That is: when heaven and earth meet, blessing becomes bread.
