Arise, Lord, O God, Lift Up Your Hand

Psalm 10 is a cry from a world where the weak suffer and the wicked seem confident. The psalm asks the painful question: why does God seem far away in times of trouble? Yet it does not end in despair. It rises to prayer, justice, and faith that the Lord is King forever.

This song is part of the larger journey of the project: with God's help, to compose and sing the entire Book of Psalms in a diverse, emotional, Jewish, and uplifting musical language.
