Keep Me as the Apple of Your Eye

Psalm 17 is a prayer of David, a cry for justice, protection, and closeness to God. David is surrounded by danger, but he does not speak like a man who has lost faith. He asks God to hear the truth, examine his heart, steady his steps, and shelter him from enemies who are proud, violent, and ready to destroy.
