Be Still and Know That I Am God

Psalm 46 is a psalm of the sons of Korah, a song of faith and trust when the world is shaking. The earth changes, mountains fall into the seas, nations rage, and kingdoms totter. Yet one clear truth remains: God is our refuge, our strength, and our fortress.

The central line of this psalm is:

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

This is a verse of stillness, surrender, and inner knowledge. It is not a call to escape reality, but a call to stand within reality with faith and remember that God rules above all the noise of the world.
