I Will Sing Praise to the Most High

David turns to God as his refuge and asks to be saved from those who chase him, but he also stands before God with honesty: if he has done wrong, he is ready to be judged.

The song moves from fear to trust, from accusation to justice, and finally to praise:

"I will thank the Lord according to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Most High."

This psalm teaches that God sees what is hidden in the heart. Evil finally returns upon the one who made it, while the upright person can stand before God with trust.
