You Have Upheld Me in My Integrity

Psalm 41 Part 2 moves through whispering enemies, betrayal by a trusted friend, a prayer for mercy, and finally a powerful declaration of faith.

The central verse of the song is:

"You Have Upheld Me in My Integrity."

David describes people speaking secretly against him and even a close friend turning against him. Yet the psalm does not end in bitterness. It rises into trust, gratitude, and blessing:

"Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen."

This chapter also closes the first book of Psalms, ending with a double Amen.
