Let All Who Take Refuge in You Rejoice

Psalm 5 is a morning prayer of King David. It begins with a personal cry to God: listen to my words, understand my inner thoughts, and hear the voice of my plea.

The central verse of the song is:

"Let All Who Take Refuge in You Rejoice."

This psalm moves from prayer to trust, from the rejection of evil to entering God’s house with awe, and from fear of enemies to joy under God’s protection.

This chapter is part of the larger journey of this project: to compose, with God’s help, the entire Book of Psalms in one emotional, Jewish, uplifting musical line.
